Bespoke event design — service agreement
Last updated: April 2026
1. Scope of work
Each suite is created bespoke for your event, based on the briefing you submit through your private portal. Designs are not templated; every element is composed from scratch around your event details, colour palette, and tone of voice.
- Essentiel — 3 design pieces, 1 round of revisions, delivered in 3–5 business days from briefing submission.
- Maison — 6 design pieces, 2 rounds of revisions, delivered in 3–5 business days.
- Signature — 9 design pieces, 2 rounds of revisions, delivered in 3–5 business days.
Every suite also includes The Concept, Your Event Identity, Vendor Coordination Kit, and Social Assets at no additional cost.
2. Briefing & revisions
Design work begins within 24 hours of receiving your completed briefing. Revisions are submitted directly through your private portal. Each revision round consolidates all requested changes; rounds beyond your suite's allocation may be quoted separately.
3. Payment
Payment is collected up front through Stripe. All transactions are processed securely; we do not store card details. Pricing displayed at checkout is the final price for the suite selected.
4. Refunds
Because all work is bespoke and design begins immediately after the briefing is received, we do not offer refunds once design work has started. If you need to delay or pause your project, please contact us and we will work with you to reschedule.
5. Delivery & usage
Digital pieces are delivered as shareable links and downloadable files via your private portal. Files are yours to use for your event and personal archives. Designs may not be resold, redistributed as templates, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.
6. Intellectual property
All designs remain the intellectual property of La Maison de Fêtes; you receive a perpetual licence for personal and event-related use. We may use anonymised previews of completed work in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.
7. Communication
All project communication takes place through your private portal. We respond to messages and approvals within 24 hours on business days.
Privacy Policy
This section constitutes the Privacy Policy of La Maison de Fêtes. Last updated: May 2026.
8. Who we are
La Maison de Fêtes is a bespoke event design studio. Our website is lamaisondefetes.com. For all privacy-related enquiries contact hello@lamaisondefetes.com.
9. What data we collect and why
We collect only the data necessary to deliver your design suite and communicate with you about your project. Below is every category of personal data we process:
- Name & partner name — used to personalise your designs, address emails, and appear on printed pieces such as invitations and place cards.
- Email address — used to create and access your private portal, send order confirmations, access codes, design delivery notifications, and project communications.
- Phone number — collected optionally during checkout or briefing; used only if we need to contact you urgently about your project.
- Event details — event type, event date, venue name, and event name are used exclusively to produce your bespoke design suite.
- Design briefing data — colour palette preferences, style descriptions, mood board uploads, inspiration images, piece selections, and any notes you submit through your private portal. This data forms the creative brief for your project.
- RSVP guest list data — when you use the RSVP feature, we collect your guests' names, attendance status, email addresses (if provided), meal preferences, dietary requirements, and plus-one information on your behalf. You are the data controller for your guests' data; we process it solely to generate your guest list and seating plan.
- Payment data — all payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or banking credentials. We store only the Stripe customer ID and payment status returned by Stripe after a successful transaction.
- IP addresses — logged automatically for security purposes (rate limiting, fraud prevention, and abuse detection). IP logs are not used for profiling or marketing and are not linked to your identity in any persistent way.
- Portal session token — a cryptographic token stored in your browser's local storage to keep you logged in to your private portal. It expires and is rotated on password reset.
- Referral source — an optional field during checkout indicating how you found us. Used only for internal analytics.
10. How we use your data
- Deliver and personalise your design suite
- Send transactional emails (order confirmation, portal access, design delivery)
- Process and record payment via Stripe
- Maintain your private portal and project history
- Protect the platform from abuse and unauthorised access
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it for any purpose other than those listed above.
11. Third-party processors
We use the following sub-processors to operate the service. Each is bound by their own privacy policy and data processing agreements:
- Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing. Stores your card and billing data under PCI-DSS compliance.
- Supabase (supabase.com) — secure database and file storage hosted on AWS infrastructure in the US. Your design briefings, portal data, and RSVP lists are stored here.
- Resend (resend.com) — transactional email delivery. Email content (including your name and portal link) passes through Resend's servers to reach your inbox.
- Anthropic / Claude AI (anthropic.com) — used internally by our team to generate social media content drafts. Client briefing data is not sent to this service.
- Google Fonts — loaded on our pages for typography. Google may log your IP address when serving font files.
- Vercel (vercel.com) — website and API hosting. Processes request metadata including IP addresses as part of normal web hosting.
12. Data retention
- Client records & briefing data — retained for 3 years from your last active project to allow you to re-order or reference past work, then deleted or anonymised.
- RSVP guest data — retained for 12 months after your event date, then deleted.
- Payment records — retained for 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping obligations.
- IP address logs — retained for 90 days for security purposes, then purged.
- Uploaded inspiration images — retained in your portal until your project is closed or you request deletion.
13. Your rights
Depending on where you are located (EU/EEA, UK, California, Canada, etc.) you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data. Most fields can be updated directly in your portal.
- Deletion — request that we delete your account and all associated data. We will comply within 30 days except where retention is required by law (e.g. payment records).
- Portability — request your briefing data in a machine-readable format (JSON).
- Objection / restriction — object to certain processing or ask us to restrict processing while a complaint is resolved.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights write to hello@lamaisondefetes.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 days.
14. Cookies & local storage
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use:
- Local storage — stores your portal session token to keep you logged in. No expiry is set; it persists until you log out or clear your browser data.
- Session cookies — set by Google Fonts and Vercel infrastructure as part of normal web operation. These are technically necessary and do not track you across sites.
15. Security
We protect your data with the following controls: HTTPS everywhere, encrypted passwords (scrypt), Stripe-side payment handling (we never touch card data), Row Level Security on our database, rate limiting on all API endpoints, and access tokens that are rotated on password reset. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to hello@lamaisondefetes.com.
16. Children
Our service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor's data has been submitted, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this section will reflect any changes. Continued use of the portal after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
